2. Overview of processing

We have deliberately designed this website to collect as little data as possible:

• No cookies are set.
• There is no audience measurement, no tracking and no profiling.
• Fonts, images and scripts are loaded exclusively from our own web server – there are no connections to Google Fonts, social media plugins, map or video services.
• There is no contact form and there are no user accounts.

Personal data is therefore only processed to the extent technically necessary to deliver the website (section 3), or if you contact us on your own initiative (section 4).

3. Hosting and server log files (Vercel)

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA (“Vercel”) and delivered via its worldwide content delivery network. When you access the website, Vercel automatically processes information transmitted by your browser, in particular:

• IP address of the requesting device,
• date and time of access,
• page or file requested and amount of data transferred,
• referrer URL (the previously visited page),
• browser type, operating system and language setting (user agent),
• HTTP status code.

This data is required to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security (e.g. to fend off attacks). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in providing our website securely and without errors. The data is not merged with other data sources and is not used to identify individual visitors. Server log files are stored by Vercel only for a limited period and are then deleted automatically.

Automatic language selection: The website is available in German, English and French. If you call up the start address (lorenz-film.de) without specifying a language, you are automatically redirected to the matching language version. For this purpose, the hosting server evaluates only the language setting that your browser sends with every request in the “Accept-Language” header. This information is used solely for this redirect and is not stored; no cookie is set for this purpose. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in showing you the website directly in a language you understand. You can change the language at any time using the language switcher on the website.

A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR (Data Processing Addendum) has been concluded with Vercel. As Vercel is based in the USA, a transfer of personal data to the USA cannot be ruled out. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is therefore based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, Vercel has concluded the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).

4. Contacting us by email, phone or fax

If you contact us by email, phone or fax, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, phone number, content of your enquiry) in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).

We delete your data as soon as it is no longer required to handle your request, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. under commercial or tax law) apply. Your data is not passed on to third parties. Please note that unencrypted emails may be read by third parties in transit.

5. Local storage in your browser

In the broadcast calendar, the website remembers whether you have chosen the month view or the list view. This setting is stored exclusively locally in your browser (local storage), contains no personal data and is not transmitted to us or to third parties. It is only stored because you actively switch the view, and is therefore strictly necessary for the service you have requested (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act). You can delete the entry at any time via your browser settings.

6. External links

Our pages contain links to websites of other providers, e.g. to the media libraries of ARD, 3sat, ZDF, SWR and BR, to our YouTube channel “Handwerk-Zeitreise” (YouTube, operated by Google Ireland Limited), and to OpenStreetMap. Merely visiting our pages does not transmit any data to these providers. Only when you click on such a link do you leave our website; the respective provider is then responsible for data processing on the target page.

Some of the links to media libraries are compiled automatically: a nightly process evaluates the broadcasters’ publicly available programme listings, the public film list of MediathekView and the public video list of our YouTube channel. No personal data of visitors to this website is processed in the process. These are plain links – videos or other content from media libraries or YouTube are not embedded, and no data is transmitted to the broadcasters or to YouTube until you click on a link.

7. Your rights

With regard to the personal data concerning you, you have the following rights vis-à-vis us:

• right of access (Art. 15 GDPR),
• right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR),
• right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
• right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
• right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Insofar as we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to the processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.

To exercise your rights, an informal message to info@lorenz-film.de is sufficient.

Right to lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.

For security reasons, this website uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser’s address bar.

No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR), takes place.

Obligation to provide data

You are under no legal or contractual obligation to provide us with personal data. Without the technical data mentioned in section 3, however, the website cannot be delivered.
